This course will teach you everything you need to know to get started using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

It is for the absolute beginner and all information is delivered in a practical and easy to follow manner.

It is specifically tailored for those who have dreams of designing and making their own products but are overwhelmed by where to start.

After completing this course, you will know:

  • Navigating the Photoshop and Illustrator workspace

    This class is for designers, illustrators, artists, crafters and anyone else who is interested in transforming their art works and ideas into pattern designs.

    You will learn everything you need to know to confidently use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create your own patterns perfect for textile printing… imagine cushions, tea-towels, tote bags...

    It is perfect for intermediate users of Photoshop and Illustrator and all information is delivered in a practical and easy to follow manner.

    By the end of the course you’ll have your own digital repeat pattern ready for printing!

    Join 'Florence', our 2 tonne digital textile printing maching on a journey exploring the abundance of ways to transform your ideas, designs and artwork into beautiful, digitally printed textiles!

    Our studio is brimming with colour and pattern and will provide a visual reference and context for developing your very own customised fabric designs.

    At the end of the workshop, you’ll have gained both practical and theoretical experience in developing a textile print.

    This course is facilitated by Trish Burton, a recent member of our Frankie and Swiss family. Trish is a multi passionate creative, having worked in various fields across surface pattern design, freelance graphic designer, teaching and now running her own design business.
